The Waters
Canyon Lake is a very clean, large and deep spring and rain fed lake. With a blue sky, it is a magnificent aqua-marine color surrounded by evergreen Live Oaks and Mountain Cedar all year round. Private docks are not allowed, so the lake views are not spoiled by thousands of floating docks or boats on the shorelines.
Looking for a Texas lake to go swimming in but aren’t a fan of murky water? Canyon Lake is among the top five reservoirs in the State of Texas with the clearest waters, according to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Take a dive, and refresh!
Sunsets
As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms into a canvas of fiery hues. Rich oranges, deep reds, and soft purples blend together, casting a warm glow across Canyon Lake. The water, mirroring the sky’s vibrant display, shimmers with a liquid tapestry of color. Gentle ripples catch the last light of day, creating a sparkling path that leads to the horizon.
Deer Feeding
Canyon Lakeview Resort has many wild Axis deer, better known as white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) that roam our property.
You might even spot a few of our other hill country birds, ducks and 3 resident peacocks.
Guests will receive one complimentary bag of deer food in their rooms at check-in. Guests are welcome to use the feeding troughs below the hill behind the Lodge Building to feed the deer.

There are two grilling stations located on the property. One behind the Lodge and a second between the Cabins further down the resort.

Canyon Lakeview Resort is in a rural area. However, we do have cellular Wi-Fi routers available in all our Cabins, Lodge, Lakeview House, and Pool area.
Climate Control
Stay comfortable year-round with central air conditioning and heating, ensuring you’re cozy in the winter and cool in the summer.
